Research interests are in the silviculture of hardwoods in riparian ecosystems including afforestation of bottomlands and management of native forests. Emphasis is on developing natural and artificial regeneration systems for native hardwoods including oak, pecan, walnut, sycamore, silver maple, cottonwood and other bottomland species.
